1. Acceptance of the Terms

Welcome to MentoraMedic. By creating an account or using our services, you agree to these Terms. These Terms do not affect your mandatory consumer rights.

2. Services & Facilitator Role

MentoraMedic provides an educational platform for (prospective) medical professionals. Use of the platform is free of charge for candidates; no subscription fees apply to candidates. The platform includes, among other things:

  • AI-driven interactive virtual patient simulations
  • Knowledge testing
  • Learning modules and materials
  • Progress analytics

3. Account & Security

Access requires registration. You represent that:

  • your information is accurate and current
  • you keep your credentials confidential
  • you notify us of any unauthorized use
  • you are responsible for all activity under your account

4. Conduct & Termination

The following activities are prohibited:

  • infringing copyright or intellectual property rights
  • posting fraudulent or harmful information
  • using automated systems to access the platform
  • attempting unauthorized access
  • interfering with platform operation

In case of a suspected breach we will give you a reasonable opportunity to remedy it, unless the breach is so serious that immediate suspension or termination is reasonably necessary. Any termination is proportionate to the severity of the breach.

5. Intellectual Property

All platform content and algorithms are the property of MentoraMedic or its licensors. Personal, non-commercial use for your own study is permitted.

6. BIG-Register Disclaimer

MentoraMedic is solely an educational facilitator and does not itself grant BIG-registration or any medical authorization. The registration decision rests entirely with the CIBG. MentoraMedic is not affiliated with or endorsed by the CIBG or the Ministry of Health (VWS) and does not guarantee successful BIG-registration.

7. Liability

We compile the content with care but cannot guarantee that it is at all times complete, current or error-free. The content is intended for practice and information purposes and does not constitute medical or legal advice. MentoraMedic is not liable for the outcome of a BIG-registration application or examination.

To the extent permitted by law, MentoraMedic's liability is limited to direct damages; liability for indirect damages, such as consequential loss or lost profits, is excluded. These limitations do not apply where the damage results from intent or deliberate recklessness (opzet of bewuste roekeloosheid) on the part of MentoraMedic, nor where mandatory law precludes limitation (including your statutory conformity rights, see section 8).

8. Conformity of Digital Content

Our digital services are subject to the statutory conformity requirements (Title 7.1aa Dutch Civil Code). If the service does not conform to the contract, you have, as a consumer, the statutory rights to repair, price reduction or termination. These mandatory rights are not excluded or limited by these Terms.

9. Privacy

MentoraMedic processes personal data in accordance with the GDPR. How we do this is described in our privacy policy.

10. Force Majeure

MentoraMedic is not liable for any failure caused by force majeure, including outages of internet, hosting or service providers, power failure or cyberattacks. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.

11. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by Dutch law. Disputes are submitted to the competent court in Amsterdam, provided that, as a consumer, within one month after we invoke this provision you may instead choose the court that is competent under the law. You may also submit a dispute via the European ODR platform: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

12. Amendments

MentoraMedic may amend these Terms. Material changes will be announced at least 30 days before they take effect, by email or via the platform. If you do not agree with a material change, you may terminate the agreement free of charge before the effective date. Continued use of the platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

13. Complaints

Do you have a complaint? Email [email protected]. We will acknowledge receipt and respond within a reasonable period, in principle within 14 days.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is void or voidable, the remaining provisions remain in force. The provision concerned will be replaced by a valid provision that reflects its purpose as closely as possible.

15. Partner Employers & Direct Hire

A partner employer is an employer affiliated with MentoraMedic in order to connect with candidates. A candidate is a user who is open to job placement via the platform. To avoid duplicate placement and ambiguity, MentoraMedic asks the candidate to inform us if they are directly approached or hired by a partner employer. This notification entails no cost or obligation for the candidate; any placement arrangements are governed solely by a separate agreement between MentoraMedic and the employer concerned.
